2014 Melody of Love Contest Open for Entries!

MCRW is happy to announce that the 2014 Melody of Love contest is now open for entries.

Contest entry fees are $22 for MCRW members, $27 for RWA members, and $32 for all others.

Contest entry should consist of the first 25 pages of an unpublished romance or romantic elements manuscript.  

We have a total of 5 contest categories, each with at least 2 final round judges.  Categories and judges are as follows:

Registration Now Open for MCRW's Weekend with Cherry

Music City Romance Writers is pleased to announce that Cherry Adair will be the featured speaker at our annual fall conference, which is scheduled for October 17th-19th, 2014.

Beginning Friday night at 6pm CST, Cherry will lead an optional 3 hour plotting workshop. Then, on Saturday the 18th, all conference attendees will enjoy Cherry's day long master class on building 3D characters. For those attendees who choose to stay until Sunday, there will also be a bonus Sunday workshop.

Cherry will also participate in a booksigning on Saturday. Bring your own books for her to sign, or buy on site. Credit/Debit card preferred.

Deadline to register is September 30th, 2014 or until we reach our cap of 75 attendees, whichever comes first.

Music City Romance Writers Pitch Contest Opens March 1


The PITCH contest is back! Whether the "pitch" is for back cover copy that you plan to self-publish, or that oh-so-perfect query letter blurb, we want to help you get it right! And we'll get you there fast! The entire contest from deadline to announcement of the winner will be six weeks! (Assuming no unforeseen circumstances arise.) Additionally, there are terrific prizes for the winners!
